About the Role
As Membership Engagement & Events Manager (USA), you will lead engagement and event delivery across your portfolio, ensuring the CSA community of chiefs of staff in the United States continues to grow and connect. The role combines relationship management, onboarding, and member support with the planning and execution of CSA’s US-based events.
Your leadership, operational skill, and ability to build strong relationships will help scale CSA’s member and commercial activities across the region.
What you’ll be doing:
You will play a central role in CSA’s North American engagement, events, and growth. The role is based in our Manhattan office, with regular travel and remote work across the region.
You will lead engagement and event activity for our growing US community, working closely with global colleagues to deliver the CSA Engagement Strategy. Your work will strengthen member relationships, drive participation, and enhance the overall member experience.
Membership Engagement
- Develop and deliver strategies to onboard, welcome, and support new members across key US sectors.
- Oversee onboarding to ensure a seamless introduction to the CSA, regional directors, communities, and member benefits.
- Deliver a tailored member journey, including one-on-one sessions to help members gain the most from their experience.
- Build strong, ongoing relationships throughout each member’s journey.
- Act as a trusted point of contact, identifying opportunities to improve satisfaction, engagement, and renewal.
Community Coordination
- Connect members with peers, partners, mentors, and thought leaders to encourage professional collaboration and business development.
- Curate introductions and small gatherings that enhance the value and connectivity of the CSA membership.
Events and Leadership Support
- Support the delivery of the CSA’s in-person and hybrid events in the US, including planning, logistics, and guest experience.
- Contribute to the day-to-day running of the New York office by coordinating meetings, liaising with vendors, and supporting a welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Data and Insight
- Maintain accurate records of member interactions and engagement in the CRM.
- Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team, tracking progress against company objectives.
Reporting to
- This role reports to the UK-based Head of Events, with a strong collaborative line to the US-based Senior Vice President, Commercial.
What we’re looking for:
Skills and experience
- Several years’ experience in community building, stakeholder engagement, and communications
- Proven record of creating, planning, and delivering events, with a focus on technology-enabled efficiency and experience
- Confidence in vendor management, including contracts and negotiation
- Experience engaging with senior executives and C-suite leaders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- CRM proficiency, ideally with HubSpot, and comfort managing data and metrics
- Collaborative working style with adaptability and strong follow-through

Salary and benefits
- USD 70,000 depending on experience
- 21 days' annual leave + US federal holidays
